ENVIRONMENTAL

STEEL
Lime acts as a flux to purify steel during the heating process by promoting fusion of the slag and assisting in impurity removal. This lowers the melting point in metallurgical processes and it binds with metals to form slag. Dolomite protects refractories from being errored by liquid steel.
